Priory - Arts Award - clay vessels
September & October 2011
As part of the school's Arts Award participation and research for the new Pilot programmes for younger children, a clay project was devised. The chidren made vessels over several days using a slab technique. These were rolled flat, indented with pattern, decorated, fired, painted and then glazed and fired again. The finished products were very impressive and the children thoroughly enjoyed the whole tactile experience.

St Bernadette's - mural and textile print
April, May 2011
Two super projects completed over several visits. A beautiful mosaic (sorry pics do not do it justice) combining logo for the school entrance and textile printing. The textiles were combined to create a wall hanging for the school hall. Both pieces of work leave a bright and colourful record of the children's creativity.

Manor Special School - Mosaic and Friendship Tree
January and February 2011
Two visits to the school for separate projects resulted in excellent and long lasting pieces of artwork. The first was a mosaic based upon the school's logo and the second a wooden Friendship Tree with each child painting a leaf. The mosaic was for the school entrance hall and the tree for outside and will be planted with flowers at the base.

Priory - Batik
June 2010
A decorative Batik project enabled all children to produce pieces of work. These were then joined together to make classroom and hallway decorations. Having previously studied Mehndi patterns the children had clear design ideas in their minds and as a result produced really successful designs.
